Cadet Parade - Whitehall, Cenotaph 2026

On 18th April 2026, members of the Royal Naval Association joined the national Royal Society of St George at the cenotaph for the National Cadet Parade and wreath laying ceremony.

The event brought together cadet forces, veterans’ organisations, dignitaries, and supporters from across the country in a proud display of remembrance, service, and national unity. Members took part in the formal parade and paid their respects during the wreath laying ceremony held at the cenotaph.

Representing the Bolton Branch was the branch P.R.O., Dr. Chris Houghton, who also serves as the National Chairman of the Royal Society of St George. The parade salute was officiated by Air Chief Marshal Sir Stephen Dalton and the Lord Mayor of Westminster, adding further distinction to an already prestigious national event.

The ceremony was conducted with great dignity and respect, highlighting the continued importance of honouring those who have served the nation while also recognising the dedication and future contribution of the cadet forces. It was a proud occasion for all attending members and another example of the close relationship between the Royal Naval Association and the Royal Society of St George.
